I have very high expectation from brands. I see them as a regulator for who people are today.
I believe in the power of communicating without word, I believe in eye- to – eye communication. When a brand knows it self so much, that in a simple look, it can show its value, and more than that, connect with the same value with a consumer, or, like I like to think, a person.
I believe in experience, from when I wake up to a business meeting. The power words have, and how that power can be translated into experience, into something you feel, and how that can bring brands to a entire new level.
Feeling a brand in your guts is what I call my job, or, like I like to say, is what I call my believe.
Gut felling.
I didn’t study anything profoundly enough to be limited, and I lived profoundly enough to learn.
I have a fresh mind. Call me old fashion, but I believe I can change the world, but here is the news, with branding.
There is nothing wrong with gut felling. It is a instinctive sign that let us know when there is something special in front of us.
Butterflies in your stomach, not the most professional of the terms but the most accurate.
but most of us "professionals" insists in seeing butterflies and as a plague instead of a blessing.
I believe in butterflies, I look for them everyday, I analyze the flight and the pause, I train the moves, I memorize the colors and the reflections. Butterflies are flying everywhere, all the time.
My personal believe is collective. I believe brands have a very important roll in our society, the global society. Today we have brands communicating with every nation, at the same time, and the same message. How come brands can be accepted without any barriers and people still can’t accept races, sex, immigration.
How come a Jew and a Palestinian throw rocks at each other wearing Nikes and posting videos on YouTube?
How come playboy bunnies and Greenpeace representatives shop at Wholefoods.
There is a value today in brands that goes beyond price, beyond the logo, today we connect through butterflies. Butterflies see no color, no price and no logo, butterflies happen, and they feel exactly the same to you and me.

The best way to define a brand is when there is no words to describe it. It just is. Now, to be or not to be, that is the question to our clients. The difference is, today, they know the answer, and we know how to do it.

A Assintecal apesar de todo seu poder de inspirar e orientar os associados, precisava de uma orientação em como tornar este esforço melhor aproveitado e aproveitável.
Desenvolvemos toda a estratégia e arquitetura de marcas, seguido de linguagem e identidade.
É um grande prazer trabalhar com associações, principalmente com o envolvimento da Apex ( Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos). É incrível poder participar e colaborar para o crescimento do pais.

The project for ASSINTECAL, the Brazilian association for the shoe components industry, and for ByBrasil, brand that promotes this segment internationally, was complex and inspiring.
Assintecal, even having a great power inspiring and directing the segment, need orientation on how to create a more relevant way of guiding the associates.
We developed the strategy, brand architecture, and after that, brand concepting and identity for both brands.
It is a great pleasure to work with national associations, specially when involves Apex-Brasil ( the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). It is incredible to be able to help my own country grow.

É com muito orgulho que apresento este projeto. Foi um projeto de 1 ano no Gad'Branding, de estratégia, naming, linguagem e identidade. a+ é a nova marca do Grupo Fleury, que dispensa apresentações.
a+ chegou para revolucionar o segmento, descomplicar a vida das pessoas. Essa marca foi criada pensando no consumidor.
Cada item foi criado pensando em modificar a experiência comum do segmento de medicina diagnóstica.
O Fleury ficou tão encantado com o que viu que mesmo os itens mais inspiracionais criados para tangibilizar a linguagem, viraram realidade.
Esta marca é linda, por dentro e por fora. Estou muito orgulhosa.

I proudly present this new project just out on the streets. A 1 year project at Gad'Branding with strategy, naming, language and identity. a+ is the new brand from the Fleury Group, a premium group that owns many diagnoses centers ( private health system).
a+ wants to revolutionize it's segment, make everyone's lives easier. this brand was designed inspired by consumers and their busy lives.
Every item was created to change the experience of a segment that is boring and not inspirational.
the client was so in love with this project that even the more conceptual items design to explore the new identity became reality.
this is a beautiful brand, inside and outside. i am very proud.

Budget was zero so the idea was to have stickers as "illustration".
You design you own cards and letter paper... A nice solution, but a bit
disconnected from the brand's essence.

iLOCAL

This is an old project develop at BSUR. ilocal is an search engine for local shops and services.
The idea was to give more life to the engine, letting people post pictures of their own shops, and using that as ilocal's identity.
Cameras would be given to shop owners that join the site. People can also post pictures and rate their local shops. The concept is to give more warmth to such a nice idea of going local, supporting local.

Letting the words come out of your mouth, because you love them.
My heart always tells me to run, to paint, to ask, to scream, and doing that I clear my mind of any preexisting form of doing anything.
That is when courage and pride come to me. Pride of being here, pride of being able, courage to do it.
I walk along the pathway that many others do, but inside of me there is a new world.
Yes, everything is possible, that is why we grow older and wiser, so everything becomes simpler, more beautiful and against all odds, more alive!
I miss using my heart to inspire myself, to inspire the world that lives inside of me to come out.
I will not give up my dream to build out of love, out of pride, out of courage.
Courage must be my deputy, faith, my religion.

BRITVIC REAL FRUTTY

This are the sketches for BRITVIC's REAL FRUTTY drink. It is a 50% fruit juice + 50% water drink, that is why the label has the fruit shape and water color.
It has to be a family friendly bottle. So the solution was to add a thick valve that allows kids to serve themselves in one pump and without having to lift the bottle, plus, if you place the bottle in the fridge door, you can serve yourself without lifting the bottle and without having to open the fridge twice, good for the environment, keeps your drink cold and the kids can also serve themselves. The lid is also a cup.

Wall is a brand i created for an architecture office.
The waves change all the time, so do the colors.
The idea is to have the solid structures, represented by the name WALL, and the softness of design solutions in architecture represented by the waves.

MEXX'S FUTURE

This is a project to bring MEXX back to life.
Starts with a make up campaign, with vivid colors, and all kinds os personalities, plus the "X", witch is a icon from MEXX, and also the kiss, that was a very famous element of campaigns in the past.
With the "MAKE UP" campaign MEXX would rescue all the important values of the brand that were lost with time, and after this campaign the colors would also go back to the collection. Always solid colors, strong, positive, confident. No more grey for MEXX.

Arrow is a brand that claims "easy to match". A men should be able to dress from head to toes in their store, being able to mix and match all the items. So I developed a mix and match page at the website, where you can have many view of different matches for the same pants, or the same shirt.

The ads would have pictures of beautiful squares around the world, beautiful photography, always in black and white, the idea is to take the cigar smoking habit outside, and where better than beautiful squares around the world?

CHERRY confeitaria

CHERRY is a cake shop. The cake shop wanted to be very kitsch so nothing better than the name CHERRY and the old school cherry as the logo, plus the colors. The challenge was to create a strong visual brand with no money.
The solution was to print stickers with the new logo, and to have a pattern that was printed in the paper bags, and in the raping paper. A white store with a big rounded lighted sign with the logo out side and the sticker glued in the recite, bags, take away boxes, take away coffee cups, and the raping paper for the shelves with delicious cakes, raping take away, serving muffins..
that was all their needed to make their brand special and chic, with no money.

SABONETERIA

Saboneteria is a home made soap brand, that means, really low budget. The result is to have one sticker that contains all the information of the product, that it is always made with the same ingredients, and have that glued in all the products, the liquid soap bottle, the hard soap, the paper bags and visit cards. Half of the sticker goes in the front, with the logo, and the other half goes in the back, with the ingredients. Like that all the products are branded for no money.
A cheap idea that gives the home made brand a face.

COTTON SHOPPING BAG

This bag was developed for the OUD ZUID neighborhood in Amsterdam. OUD ZUID is full of museums, shopping streets, cafes and restaurants. The idea is to have this bag been sold in all stores in the neighborhood and stop plastic or paper bags from been made, plus, the bag illustration represents one of the best neighborhoods in Amsterdam.

LOST magazine

LOST is a project that what born in my first years in Amsterdam.
This magazine is made for immigrants or anyone that wants to know more about this world. This would be a space for immigrants to show why they moved to a new country, what they used to do their home countries, and how is life now. Immigrants are often mistaken for a lower class. But ALL immigrants were someone else back home, with a profession, education, family, and most important history. This is the space where all of them, from refugees to high class business people would tell their stories.
This magazine would break the paradigm of immigration. beautiful documentary like pictures, well written stories and design would make immigration, at least in this magazine, what it is, a hard, beautiful and understandable thing.
you don't know what it is to be a immigrant until you become one.

This is an end of the year animation i created for DAG. DAG means DAY in dutch but can also be a good bye wish, so DAG can be translated as BYE.DAG 2007 translates BYE 2007.
The animation happened in the KPN building in Rotterdam.

SOLO SKATEBOARDING

SOLO is a skate brand created for city skateboarders, common people that love the sport.
The idea of the brand is that skate is more than competition, skate is a solitary connection between the skater and the city, skate is what you do when you are yourself.
No games, no trick, no trophies, just you and your skate board in the city, in the concrete, squares, empty streets. It's the connection of knowing who you are, and enjoying that alone.
All features of the brand are in black and whit. the videos, clothes, merchandise.
The black and white is what symbolizes that strong connection to the sport and to the city, it is a simple love, a black on white love.
Solo does not create heroes, Solo just allows you to keep doing what you do, because you love it.

The payoff is a representation of SOLO's vision on the sport. It is not about how good your trick is, but it is about that common feeling of freedom and passion for the sport.

DAG

This is a video i created and directed when i was working at DAG.
It was for the web, and it is a joke comercial.
The idea was just to explore the possibilities of the web, and how far you can go.
In the end this video was a big discussion between media people in a specialised website, getting 300 hits. Another site said "DAG has a sence of humor", from them we got 4000 views. the total was 5500 hits in 3 days. Not bad!

PETIT SMALL CIGARS

Cigarettes can not be advertised. So the idea here is to compose a english smoke room look alike wall paper with icons that represent the flavors of Petit small cigar. The flavors are Cuba, Dominican, Brazil..and for each flavor some icons were selected like, the Cuban car, Brazil's open arm Jesus, palm trees, flamingos and so on.
With this wall paper Petit would "sponsor" walls in cafes, restaurants, bars and discos, as well as in cigarettes shops.
The idea in this wall paper is that from far away it is just a wall paper, but when you get close, you see that it is build of "petit" pictures.
Inside the box of the small cigars the costumer gets a little version of the wall paper and a magnifying plastic sheet printed with the slogan "Großartig Genießen" (translates: Enjoying grandiosely).
The displays and the plastic around the pack would also have the print of the wall paper.
The silence of wallpaper, when translated to all possible application, becomes a branded silent ad.
